1. No cat photos today, because I cannot find my handphone and Russ is asleep in my lap. His little paws are twitching. I think he's pretending to chase/kill something. ;o.
2. [Batman: Gotham Knight] is out: ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) nickfong described it accurately as the animatrix of Batman (which, on first thought, I thought: eeh? tiny little obnoxious dubious animals but NO, not animaniacs). The graphics on the screenshots look good: will definitely be downloading this overnight. Madhouse is one of the studios.
Speaking of which, Batman is actually, very strangely enough, one of the very, very few series where I actually like a het couple, namely Batman x Catwoman (or technically, I suppose Catwoman x Batman), for the sheer messed-up-ness of it. It is probably strange, given that from any viewpoint Batman's series is rather slashy, what with Bats as a lonely brooding playboy living in a house with a very handsome young 'ward' (several) and dressing up in a leather suit (which, in Batman Forever, involved rubber nipples).
I'm looking forward to the new Batman movie after seeing the extended in the cinema before Hancock. I do not think this version of Joker will be better than Nicholson's, but it'll be something different!
3. Warren Ellis wrote Astonishing Xmen 25. :O.
4. [World of Kuroe] is still writing, with a new site. For those who've never seen it before, read [The Domain Effect] first, and remember, it's satire.
5. I cited my inability to continue playing MGS4 past Act one (sheer lack of effort) as the lack of immersion. Theres far too much cinematic: it's more an interactive movie than a game. :(
6. Games

I have succumbed and [downloaded Spore Creature Creator]. I'm on the free trial, so there's not that much you can do, but:

I have to admit it is surprisingly fun. :O I will be really looking forward to the game! Also, good gimmick, tempting people to pay for what is essentially a beta.
- [Next Halo Game No Masterchief]: Rumor, but a lol. Speaking of which, Kojima (MGS4) had first said that MGS4 would be the last Snake game, but there's word in the works that MGS5 will be a prequel, possibly also Snake-less. What is it with all these titles? Will DMC5 not have Dante since DMG4 already mostly lacks Dante? What about a Mario Kart without Mario?
- [Fallout 3] refused classification in Aus (i.e. banned?). Hope not. I will actually, happily, pay for this game without bitching about the Australian price hike in games. Q_Q
7. I haven't done this for a while but:
- No Bleach this week: I seem to be unable to summon much sadness. Carefactor at 0, it seems.
- Sasuke: haha, reading Icha Icha... poor Kakashi! *ruffles*
- One Piece: It does seem to be gearing up, just as I complained only a few days ago that the series was getting predictable. :D The plot twist in this chapter was very interesting, and of course, Kizaru has to be fked up in some way. Oo. XD;;
- Claymore: I just read this out of curiosity, really.
- D-Gray: Finally that stupid vampire-zombie mini arc is over. -_-; Please, back to plot mode.
- Katekyo Hitman Reborn: Yamamoto is ♥. Other than that, it looks like next chapter might not be about him, but about the recycled villain in girl form, I mean, Chrome. I am unable to like Mukuro. :( It might be because it just feels like, being the first 'serious' arc of Hitman Reborn, the author just tagged him onto the rest of the series out of favorite character syndrome, or I Like This Char So Much He Will Be Back, Damnit. (I admit this is because I felt irritable that the sole female Ring bearer (LOLOL) is Really A Puppet Thing With No Personality). Where's Hibari??
- Fairy tail: Why am I even reading this? T_T
- Shin Angyo Onshi: The evil-punishing anti-hero series with the bondage female bodyguard who is really a dog is finished. :O Can't say I loved the ending, but oh well, in my opinion, the series was great. Korean manga art is not bad.
- 07Ghosts: seems to be updating really quickly! This series is pure pretty boy, with an average plot, but sooo pretty. Hehe.
- Soul Eater: The translators are really on fire with this series, and the last chapter was amazing. Black Star vs Samurai Person (I am unable to remember his name offhand) with the coolest and most unique katana fighting sword style I have seen in a while (strange Samurai person, not Black Star). Read the chapter just for the fight, IMO! |
